Odell Keplinger

Attorney

I grew up in Carter County and came home to practice. For years now, my whole practice has been disability claims.

Before I had my own office, I worked at a firm in Knoxville that handled everything from wills to car wrecks. The cases that stayed with me were the disability claims: a machinist with a ruined back, a Marine whose hearing loss the VA rated at zero. So when I came back to Johnson City, I opened an office for those claims and nothing else.

It's a one-lawyer office on purpose. When you call, you reach me or my assistant, Jo, and the person who reads your records is the person who sits beside you at the hearing. I'm accredited by the VA to represent veterans, and I keep a list of every deadline on the wall where I can see it.
